Tonight, a truck pulling an open trailer full of people drove up and down the road blasting Christmas music, honking their horn and yelling Merry Christmas. And it was awesome! With the temperatures reaching 60 degrees today and nothing but gloomy and rainy, these people (we think it may be the people from the church at the end of the road but we’re not for sure) made it seem a little bit more like Christmas. So I want to thank those people (though I highly doubt they will read this) for adding some much needed Christmas cheer into what has been a gloomy and rainy day.
Let The Countdown Begin
So, Christmas is now less than seven days away and I am not even close to being ready. This year, it just seems that the holidays snuck up on me so very quickly. I still have a lot of presents to buy (and wrap. I haven’t even wrapped the gifts I all ready bough yet) and a ton of baking to do! I didn’t even get all my Christmas decorations put up this year! I think the whole buying/moving/getting settled into a new house is what has thrown me off. At least that is what I am going to blame it on. We have lived here since August 18th and I still have stuff in boxes I need to unpack!
Anyway, this week is going to be a busy one. I am planning to finish up my Christmas shopping Tuesday evening with a trip to the mall and Walmart. Raven’s last day of school is the 21st and then she is off until January 3rd.
Well, it’s all ready after 11:30pm and I still have a few things I need to get done before bed. Nighty Nighty.
10th Wedding Anniversary
Thursday (December the eighth) was my husband and mine’s 10th wedding anniversary (we dated for 6 years before getting married). Opting to stay home instead of spending money, we spent the day watching the original The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and The Girl Who Played With Fire. Both great movies! Mike liked them even though we watched it with the original Swedish language and English subtitles (the only way I will watch foreign moves since I hate HATE English dub). He says he would prefer not to read while watching movies but knowing my intense hatred for voice dubbing (I keep focusing on the lips since they do not match up to the words and cannot pay attention to the movie) he let me have it my way LOL. We didn’t get to watch the final movie in the trilogy though and are hoping to finish it this weekend. Even though we didn’t do anything exciting, I still enjoyed myself and I think Mike did too. Happy Anniversary, Mike! I love you and am looking forward to spending the rest of my life with you.

What Do You Want In Your Stocking?
I have written about EdenFantasys before and for good reason. Every order I have placed with them arrives at my doorstep in a timely manner wrapped in a discreet package so no one is the wiser as to what exciting items sits in that box. Most people know EdenFantasys as a one-stop shop for high-quality sex toys. Did you know, however, that they also sell makeup and body care products?
Even though I have made several purchases from them, I never paid much attention to their skin care products. Recently while browsing their site I stopped and browsed through their makeup and skin care products. The 12 Days of Christmas Lip Balm set caught my eye. I do not wear much lipstick (not the best at putting it on) so I tend to stick with tinted Chap Stick and lip balm. With this set, you get two jars each of six different lip balms including hazelnut cocoa butter lip balm, which sounds yummy.
I am also intrigued by their Annabelle Eye Shadow Palette. With my green eyes, I try to stay with purple or purplish tones for eyeshadow and the Annabelle palette features colors with a purple or berry tint to them. In addition, they come in a cute, portable eyeshadow case that will fit perfectly in my purse for when I need a quick touch up.
I am hoping that Santa will fill my stocking this year with a few items from EdenFantasys.
Cold and Gloomy
Well, I completely failed NaBloPoMo several days in a row. And I have no excuse besides beginning busy and just not feeling in the mood to blog. Raven has been sick this whole week. Poor girl has a week off from school for Thanksgiving break and she has to spend it sick and stuck in the house. Not that going outside is much fun. It has been cold, rainy and gloomy most of this week. It has been raining so much that nearby rivers, streams and creeks have been flooding. Our basement is even a little flooded but nothing we can’t deal with it. On another note, today has been spent making mini pumpkin cheesecakes. We typically go to different family member’s homes for Thanksgiving dinner but with Raven being sick, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. But my awesome family is going to fix us plates and bring over some food so we can still have some Thanksgiving food without me having to cook.
