Wordless Wednesday: Fav Pic Of My Mom
Christmas Recap
Christmas Eve and Christmas day was filled with food, fun and family. On Christmas Eve, we stopped and seen Mike’s mom before stopping at my Mom’s house to exchange gifts and pick her up. The four of us (me, Mike, Raven and Mom) headed down the road down to my Aunt Lois’s house to stuff our faces with pizza, sandwiches (egg salad, chicken salad and ham salad), cheese sticks, crackers, cheese, chips, dip and the like. We stayed until about 5pm and then we dropped Mom off at her house and headed down to Mike’s Dad and Grandpa’s for the rest of the night. Once we got home, all three of us were beat and ready for bed. Even though I took my camera with me, I didn’t take a single picture while we were at family’s. I just wasn’t in the mood to snap some pictures and got sidetracked bullshitting with our family.
We stayed home for Christmas day since we spent the previous two days running around. Raven opened her gifts (manga, various anime DVDs, anatomy book and Japanese demystified book along with little odds and ends), I opened mine (Bored to Death Season 2 DVD) and Mike opened his. Our fuzzy babies also opened theirs (Jedi and Nefarian got a crinkle tunnel and treats while London got a stuffed hedgehog and chewy bones). Raven didn’t brush her hair before opening her Christmas presents so I won’t be posting any of the pictures I took of her opening her gifts. But here are some other pictures.
Nefarian loves playing in bags.
Jedi does not like having a bow on his head.

Cold and Gloomy
Well, I completely failed NaBloPoMo several days in a row. And I have no excuse besides beginning busy and just not feeling in the mood to blog. Raven has been sick this whole week. Poor girl has a week off from school for Thanksgiving break and she has to spend it sick and stuck in the house. Not that going outside is much fun. It has been cold, rainy and gloomy most of this week. It has been raining so much that nearby rivers, streams and creeks have been flooding. Our basement is even a little flooded but nothing we can’t deal with it. On another note, today has been spent making mini pumpkin cheesecakes. We typically go to different family member’s homes for Thanksgiving dinner but with Raven being sick, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. But my awesome family is going to fix us plates and bring over some food so we can still have some Thanksgiving food without me having to cook.
Movie Night
This afternoon, I brought my Mom over to my house to watch Paranormal Activity 2 (Raven and me had all ready watched it in the theaters last October). She liked the first one but had yet to see the second. I fixed some snacks for us to pig out on and we all (me, my Mom and Raven) had a good time. It was nice getting my Mom out of her house. She doesn’t drive (her doctor recommended that she stop driving several years ago because of her health problems) and doesn’t like to leave her house for too long so I think it was good for her to get out. She needs to stop being such a hermit sometimes.
