I ended up ordering a new charger for my laptop from Amazon and finally received it at the beginning of the week. Since then I have been trying to catch up on the work that had piled up since my battery charger died. I think I am finally starting to get caught up.
Every year our small town has Frontier Days, which consists of a few carnival rides, some food trucks, carnival games, a parade and a few contests. Last night, me, Mike and Raven went down so Raven could hang out with her boyfriend and friends while Mike and I walked around spotting people we haven’t seen for years.
I also took the opportunity to enjoy a carnival food staple, the funnel cake. I actually skipped dinner so I would be hungry enough for the greasy, calorie-filled crap that tastes so good. For an extra dollar, you could “upgrade” the funnel cake to birthday cake, chocolate fudge or peanut butter. I decided to splurge and get the birthday cake funnel cake, which essentially was a normal funnel cake (with the powdered sugar piled on top) that included blue and pink “icing” (made from powdered sugar, water and food coloring) and sprinkles.
After upgrading, it cost $6.00, which seems a bit much for some batter, grease and powder sugar. But it was so freakin’ good!
