Insanity

I wanted to do Jenn’s Friday Favorites but surprisingly, I didn’t take any pictures this week. Not a one. Maybe next Friday I can participate.

Yesterday I started the Insanity workout. I desperately need to lose at least 10 pounds (shooting for 20 to 30 pounds total) and what I am doing now (an extra 10,000 steps a day, which does not count the steps I take for daily living) is not working at all. Anyway, I just finished Day 2 of Insanity and it really kicked my ass. Hell, Day 1 kicked my ass but today it kicked it even harder. I really, really wanted to quit while working out but I didn’t and I am glad I pushed myself. I feel great, mentally that is. My body is tired but my mentality is like “You Go Girl”!

Has anyone tried Insanity? I have a cousin who completed it (she was thin to begin with but she wanted to tone up) and she got mad results. I’m overweight and am hoping that all the cardio and keeping my heart rate up will help me lose weight while toning.

I never tried that work out but I have heard that it’s intense. Good luck with it! I am trying cardio/zumba to workout. So far it is going really well and I am happy with the results.

I’ve never tried Insanity and but also heard it’s intense. I do the jillian michaels 30 day shred dvd, which is seriously intense and awesome. I’ve had a couple friends do it and the first day you hate it and seriously wanna give up, but by day 3 I just felt awesome and so into it. By day 8 I felt STRONG and had lost 2 inches. I just use it as my regular workout, now.
